How to Praise God: Focus on Who He Is
EPISODE 109
What does it really mean to praise God?
In this second episode of the SPICE Up Your Prayer Life series, we move to P: Praise and ask one simple question: Who is God?
Praise shifts our attention from what God can do for us to who He is. We’ll look at the difference between thanksgiving and praise, explore how the Psalms remind us of God’s character even in difficult circumstances, and WRAP Psalm 145:8 together:
“The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”
You’ll also learn a simple way to practice praise in your own prayer life by asking, What does this Scripture show me about who God is?
This week’s practice is simple: Before you ask God for anything, spend a few minutes praising Him for one truth you see about His character.
God, You are ________. I praise You because ________.
